The Algerian star decides on his favorite destination
Algerian star Youssef Belaili is closer than ever to leaving Tunisia’s Esperance in light of failed contract extension talks and continued uncertainty over his future in the coming period.
And I mentioned Algerian “Al-Khabar” newspaper. Belaili’s return to Mouloudia Algeria has become imminent after talks led by the club’s board chairman Hakim Hajj Rjem made progress. However, the conclusion of the transaction depends on the fulfillment of the main condition, which exceeds the will of both parties.
The newspaper explained that the player’s return to Mouloudia Algeria after two years with Esperance was linked to the resolution of his legal status and the possibility of overturning his punishment following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport through his Tunisian lawyer, Ali Abbas.
Last March, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) fined Belaille a one-year ban amid a complaint by his former French club Ajaccio, which accused the player of fraud to obtain a financial benefit of €380,000.
The player’s defense team, which previously managed to get Bliley’s 2015 doping ban reduced, is hoping for a decision to suspend or overturn the current ban, allowing the player to regain his eligibility and continue his professional career freely.
Despite the great interest shown by Mouloudia Oran officials and official statements confirming their desire to regain Belaili’s services next season, the player prefers to return to Mouloudia Algiers.
This preference is due to the Algerian’s desire to play in a continental tournament next season, a goal that Mouloudia Oran failed to achieve after missing out on a third-placed finish to qualify for the African Confederation Cup.
As part of strengthening the squad, Hakim Hajj Rjem has also held talks with Algeria’s second division league top scorer, USM Chaouia striker Sirimane Konate, who has given his initial consent to join Mouloudia Algiers.
These developments indicate that Hakim Hajj Rajm is a candidate to continue in his role as head of Mouloudia Alger’s board of directors, even though officials at the club’s owning company rejected his request to move to the sporting director position at a recent meeting.
Hajj Rajoum had justified his request by wanting to take advantage of the financial benefits obtained by the sporting directors of other Algerian clubs such as CS Belouizdad and USM Algiers, considering that these benefits are commensurate with the amount of pressure and responsibilities that come from managing Algeria’s most famous club.
