After the club’s rapid rise from the National League, Parkinson feels his side have laid a lot of groundwork to ensure they remain strong for the future.

“The supporters have been brilliant with me and the staff since I’ve been here.”

“All of us have the determination to always keep moving in the right direction.

“I think for our supporters, the football club has a lot to be positive about going forward. The new (Kop) stand, the academy, things are just starting.

“We’ve moved on really fast as a team, but there’s a lot of work going forward that will make this club really strong for many years to come.”
