Spain’s 2026 World Cup finals celebrations descended into chaos after a restaurant witnessed a brutal attack by an armed group that left several injured, an incident that sparked a wide-ranging investigation by Spanish authorities.
The newspaper reported.Brand:The Spanish newspaper reported that the incident happened at around 22:15 at the “Italian” restaurant and bar, which is one of the usual gathering places for a number of soldiers as they watched the final match.
The paper revealed that around 10 people suddenly burst into the venue carrying iron bars and extendable batons before viciously attacking the attendees, causing panic among restaurant patrons.
As a result of the attack, six people were injured, the most serious of which was a soldier who suffered a head wound and several broken ribs, a woman suffered a broken nose, and some of the injured received first aid on the spot, while others were taken to hospital for further treatment.

Marca added that Spain’s Civil Guard has launched an extensive investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident, focusing on identifying the attackers and their motivations using CCTV footage released at the scene.
The newspaper concluded by stressing that one of the theories being investigated is that one of the soldiers was wearing a shirt with the logo of a Spanish Nazi group known as the National Core, which may be behind the attack, but authorities have not yet confirmed the validity of this theory or revealed the true motive for the attack.
