The United States, Canada and Mexico will co-host the World Cup from June 11 to July 19.
Iran will play two matches in Los Angeles, against New Zealand on June 15 and Belgium on June 21, and then Egypt on June 26 in Seattle.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said last week that no one with ties to the IRGC would be allowed into the country.
“We are going to the World Cup, for which we have qualified, and our host is FIFA – not Mr Trump or America,” Taj said.
“If they accept our hospitality, they must also agree not to insult our military establishment in any way.
“Because if they do, naturally it could create a similar situation in Canada, where we had the possibility to go back.
“So there has to be that kind of assurance so we can go with peace of mind.”
The US and Israel carried out airstrikes on Iran last February.
Iran is the only FIFA federation out of the 211 member nations not represented at the FIFA Congress in Vancouver.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino said Iran would travel to the US and play as scheduled – despite requests in March for Iran’s matches to be moved to Mexico.
