World Cup 2026: England star Jude Bellingham blesses and slaps Argentina’s substitute

Judd Bellingham beat Argentine substitute Valentino and hit him in the back of the head. England lost the World Cup semi-final 2-1.

Barco, who did not play in the game, came on at half-time and was hugging his teammates in the Bellingham area when the England midfielder went and slapped him.

Before Bellingham left, it sparked a bit of a ruckus as players from both sides got involved.

Although it is unclear what prompted the reaction, Barco was pictured running around the pitch and celebrating in front of the England players after Enzo Fernandez’s 85th-minute equaliser.

The first half of the game in Atlanta saw 19 fouls as American referee Ismail Elfat struggled to maintain control.

Bellingham, who scored six goals in the tournament, clashed with Argentina captain Lionel Messi in the fourth minute after England midfielder Elio Anderson was fouled.

“We were talking about really bad stuff,” Bellingham reportedly said. After the match.

“It wasn’t bad at all. I’m sure everybody’s going to do their job and make a big deal out of it, but it was nothing.”
