The workers have started to remove the name of the President of the United States Donald Trump from the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC following a court decision.
On Saturday, workers were seen walking in front of the building, where a white sheet of paper covered the removal process.

A day earlier, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper denied a final request by a Trump-aligned organization to block an earlier order seeking to have the president’s name removed.
On May 29, Cooper ruled that the building was illegally altered, stating that the US Congress has the power to enact laws to alter it.
They set a deadline of 14 days for removal.
In his ruling on Friday, Cooper said the public interest “is not often served by “encouraging” illegal government action”.

Trump, who is an heir to real estate and development, built his career on the recognition of his name, which is still recognized in all the buildings, casinos and golf courses in different parts of the world.
He has adopted a similar approach to leadership, renaming the defunct US Institute of Peace, the Donald J Trump US Institute of Peace.
The White House wants to put Trump’s portrait on the $250 bill to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence.
The US State Department said it will issue special passports with Trump’s photo and signature to document the incident.
Trump has also pursued several controversial construction projects in the US capital, including demolishing the east wing of the White House to build a larger stadium.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation, which opposed the project, had gone through the state courts.

Trump filled the Kennedy Center’s governing board with loyalists after taking office.
They voted in December to change the name, and ‘Donald J Trump’ was added to the facade of the building shortly after.
Several artists canceled performances after the change.
Judge Cooper also temporarily blocked Trump’s plan to close the facility for two years for renovations.
Trump responded to the decision to say he had no “desire to continue” his involvement with the organization.
