Beau Greaves won the Women’s World Matchplay for a record third time with a 6-5 last-leg victory over Fallon Sherk at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens.
After Sherk forced the contest to the distance, Greaves held his nerve with a crucial 180 and a superb 145 56 to take the title. He coolly pinned the double 10 to seal the win once again.
The win added to Greaves’ 2023 and 2024 wins in the tournament. Sherrock met Greaves in the 2024 women’s matchplay final which Greaves won 6–3.
It added to an already impressive year for ‘Beau & Arrow’ in which she became the first woman to win a Pro Tour event at The Players Championship 11. She also hit a nine-darter on the tour and became the first woman to qualify for the European Tour.
The win for Greaves sends Sherk to runner-up in the women’s matchplay for the third consecutive year, losing to Greaves in 2024 and 2026 and Lisa Ashton in 2025.
“I’m not one to celebrate but it was a relief at the end. Fallon is a great girl and an even better dart player. I knew I had to play well but it was a relief to hit the last dart,” Greaves said. Sky Sports.

Beau Greaves is delighted to have won the World Matchplay Trophy for the third time but says he still needs to improve ahead of the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Championships.
“So happy to win. I knew the women’s game was a little different because I play with the men now. Just ran to get the win.
“I was nervous, but that kind of pressure is a privilege.
“I just love my life. Love playing darts. I can’t get enough of it. I’m addicted to it and just love my life and even supporting the women’s game is a massive thing.
“I love darts and this is good enough for me. My aim is just to play well.”
Fallon Sherk and Beau Greaves came up with big moments in a close final
It was billed as a close and enthralling contest between two of the most successful players in women’s darts and it certainly lived up to expectations on the Winter Garden stage.
Sherk made a brilliant start to the final with a breaking throw in the third leg. But, in typical Greaves fashion, he bounced back immediately to produce a sensational 120 checkout in the 12-dart leg to restore parity at 2-2.
From there, the contest becomes an interesting nip-and-talk affair. A tense eighth leg eventually went Greaves’ way when he pinned double two to secure a crucial break of throw and move within a leg of the title.
Sherk, however, refused to go down without a fight. Some superb scoring left him on 36 after just nine darts and he took the break in an 11-dart throw. He then followed it up with a superb 70 checkout on double 16 to force a decider
It was then that Greaves found his shining best again as he scored 56 runs with his highest of 145 runs to win the title. At 56, he took a double 10 to ensure the trophy was coming home with him.

Beau Greaves made a blistering start to the Women’s World Matchplay as she scored 148 and 144.
Greaves battled hard to reach the final with a nerve-wracking 5-4 win over Gemma Hayter.
Greaves got off to a slow start and Hayter made sure to level the game at 2-2 with a break to throw in tops and then find another crucial break to take the game to a last-leg decider with an 83 checkout on double 16.
However, when she needed it, Greaves came through with a 104 checkout to book her place in a third women’s matchplay final.
Greaves reached the semi-finals with a 5-1 win over Kirsi Vinikainen, starting in fine fashion with a 148 then 144 checkout to keep the contest going.
Sherk route to the final: one step left!
Ashton’s title defense ended when he ran into a clinical Sherk who cruised to a 5-1 win to reach his third consecutive matchplay final.
Indeed, it was a replay of the 2025 Matchplay final, but this time Greaves was firmly in control. With just one leg on her way to the finals, she pinned Double 16 to seal her place in the showpiece match.
Sherk was also at her scintillating best in a 5-0 whitewash win over Data Hedman in the quarters, with two consecutive 13-darters key as she gave the ‘Caribbean Queen’ no chance to counter-attack and zero darts in the double.
Elsewhere, Hayter fought back from 4-2 down to win a last-leg shootout against Vicky Pruim, eventually overcoming some crucial errors to pin a clutch 77 at the top of the match.
Meanwhile, ‘Lancashire Rose’ Ashton started with a 5-2 win over Welsh No. 1 Ryan O’Sullivan, before a big 120 checkout for the highlight throw break eventually cleaned up the game with his ninth match dart.
