Women’s Super League: Brighton captain Maisie Symonds has signed a new deal

Brighton reached their first ever Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley in May, with Symonds skipping the team against Manchester City.

Symonds represented England at Under-21 level and received her first senior call-up in March 2025.

On signing her new deal, she added: “I’m so happy I feel at home here. It’s the only club I’ve played professionally at and I feel I’ve grown a lot over the last six years with the club and the women’s team.

“We really feel like we’re setting high standards for ourselves with what we’ve built over the last couple of years.

We’re just starting to reach our potential, and we just want to get better and better.

Earlier this year, Brighton announced plans to build Europe’s first purpose-built facility Women’s Football Stadium, That would cost £75-80m.
