Women’s Six Nations 2026: Monaghan to start for Ireland against Scotland

Baymond named an unchanged backline with Stacey Flood, Baben Parsons and Robin O’Connor as the back three.

In midfield, Eve Higgins and Aoife Dalton start as Danah O’Brien partners half-back Emily Lane.

In the front row, Elena Perry, Cliodhna Moloney-McDonald and Linda Jogang are all set to register their fifth consecutive starts in this championship, with Monaghan coming to join Fiona Twitt.

After scoring two tries against Wales, Brittany Hogan was selected at flanker, captain Erin King at openside and Aof Wafer in the number eight jersey.

On the bench, Baymond forwards Neve Jones, Sadhav McGrath, Elise Cahill, Dorothy Wall and Ruth Campbell return to a 5:3 split with backs Katie Whelan, Vicky Elmes Kinlan and Niamh Gallagher.

“We’re stocking up pretty well,” Baymond continued.

“We’re back 5:3 this week and we think it’s because of how the game will go.

“We’re desperate to see Vicky Elms-Kinlan come in and bring her power game to the party. We’re stocking up on that.”
