Jenny Shin survived a tricky final round to beat South Korea’s Ae-Lim Kim and win the Women’s Scottish Open in Dundonald.

Shinn made three bogeys on the front nine to finish at nine under in three-over-par 75.

Kim, who carded a superb 68, was two shots back, with Thailand’s Pajari Ananarukarn a further two strokes back in third.

It was Shin’s first title in more than 10 years and his second on the LPGA Tour in 368 attempts.

He broke down in tears after dropping the final putt on the 18th and was showered with water and champagne by a group of friends.

“My first one didn’t really feel like a win at the time,” said Sheen, whose first title came in 2016 at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout.

“I didn’t think I deserved it. It felt so sudden.

“But it definitely feels a lot different. It feels like I earned it. I worked hard for it.”

Only 10 players have broken par after four rounds, with England’s Charlie Hull finishing on 10 over after a round of 74.

American Nellie Korda, who has won two of the four majors played this year, rounded 69 for a share of 16th at two over.

The final major of the year, the Women’s Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes in Lancashire, starts on Thursday.

“We’ve had everything this week — sunshine, a bit of warmth, and occasional rain, gusty winds, but that’s a given here,” Korda said.

“So (I’m) just trying to get into the mindset for next week. There’s a lot of things you have to really commit to during your shot.”
