The latest version of Microsoft Windows 11 tries to let you do that redo the taskbar and resize the Start menu. Change, which is extended to Windows 11 Insiders in the Experimental channel, allows you to place a marker at the bottom, top, left, or right of the screen.
Microsoft first he teased about his shift work in March as part of the reconstruction efforts trust between users. You can change the layout of the icons inside the taskbar, and open the Start menu from wherever you put it. Windows 11 users can access a small screen, which can be useful for devices with small screens. There is also an option to select a “Small” or “Large” Start menu.
The Start menu’s layout has also become more customizable, with new toggles that let you show or hide the “More,” “Recommended,” and “All” sections. The company is also changing the “Add-ons” section to “Recent” to “better display the content of this section, including recently installed programs and recently used files.” Now you can hide your name and profile picture from the Start menu, too, if you’re sharing your screen or making a presentation.
This is running in the “coming weeks” on the Experimental Channel. “We’ve talked about gaining trust through progress and transparency,” says Microsoft Design Director Diego Baca in a blog post. “Start with the taskbar and it’s where that confidence is tested the most, every time you’re on your PC.”
