Britain’s Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool kept their men’s doubles title defense bid alive with a three-set win to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.
Cash and Glasspool became the first All-British pair Win the men’s doubles title 89 years at the All England Club when they beat Rinke Hijikata and David Pele in the 2025 final.
And the third seeds moved a step closer to defending their title as they defeated Czech-Austrian pair Petr Nauja and Neil Oberleitner 6-3 3-6 7-5.
They will face sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador and Mate Pavic of Croatia.
But Britain’s Neil Skupski and his American partner Christian Harrison crashed out after narrowly losing 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-5) to the unseeded Australian-American pair of fifth seeds Thanasi Kokkinakis and Aleksandar Kovacevic.
Skupski lost to American Desira Krausik in mixed doubles. The 2021 and 2022 champion, seeded sixth this year, was beaten 7-6 (7-2) 7-6 (7-5) by Pavic and Hungary’s Fanny Stoller.
Glasspool and Canada’s Leila Fernandez were also out after China’s Harrison and Zhang Shuai came back from a set down to win 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-3.
