At the age of 10, Ferry’s technical skills made him one of the most talented youngsters in the country.
He caught the eye of Sutton Tennis Academy coach Craig Wall and began working with former French ATP player Benoit Foucher.
The pair decided that instead of traveling internationally to compete against their peers, it would improve them to play with the adults in England.

“When he was 16 years old, compared to many of his peers, he rose to the top of the youth ladder very quickly, because he was ready to play.”
Since starting to play internationally, Ferry has won the World Junior Tennis Singles and Doubles titles and is ranked 12th in the world.
He has never made it past the third round in men’s singles at the Slams, but has reached the doubles semifinals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
A smooth transition to the professional ranks was not guaranteed – so he had an alternative plan.
