Will the Iran war affect ASEAN’s efforts to deal with the region’s problems? | | ASEAN

The Philippines is hosting a meeting of foreign ministers from Southeast Asia.

He is expected to address regional security issues, including the civil war in Myanmar and territorial disputes in the South China Sea.

But the new conflict between the US and Iran has overshadowed the meeting.

Ministers have asked for an end to violence.

The conflict has hit Asia hard – undermining its energy and food supply, global trade and raising fears of a global recession.

Will it affect ASEAN’s efforts to deal with the problems in the region?
