Will NATO participate in the defense of the Strait of Hormuz? | | NATO news

Leaders of NATO member states met in Ankara, apparently to discuss increased defense spending and long-term military aid to Ukraine.

But the US-Israeli war on Iran rested on these meetings.

One of the most important issues before the deal is the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz – a vital waterway that Iran has closed for months. Before the NATO meeting, the US asked European allies to help prevent the crisis.

They refused, and some said that the war had nothing to do with the bloc.

So, can the rift between the US and its allies ever end?
