Barcelona announced the departure of star Ansu Fati this summer on Tuesday, bringing the player’s journey with Barca to an official end.

After several weeks of negotiations, “Barcelona” and “Monaco” reached an agreement on the transfer of Ansu Fati (23 years old), who signed a four-year contract with the French club.

The Catalan club will receive 11 million euros for the La Masia academy graduate and retain a percentage of his future sales.

23-year-old Ansu Fati moved to Barcelona in 2012 from Sevilla when he was ten years old.

After completing his training program at the La Masia academy, he made his debut for the first team in August 2019 at the age of just 16 years and 293 days, becoming the second youngest player to play for Barcelona in the Spanish league so far.

During his career with the Blaugrana, he made 123 official appearances and scored 29 goals, setting several goalscoring records in La Liga and the Champions League. He also played on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion and more recently at Monaco.
