What’s in store for Team NI on day three of the Commonwealth Games?


On day three of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, here’s what’s in store for Northern Ireland’s athletes.

Another busy morning in the heat at Tollcross Swimming Center from 10:30.

Grace Davison and Emily Hughes The women’s 100m freestyle at 10:30am will be followed by Alanna Burns-Aiken in the 100m butterfly at 11:48am.

Adam Bradley will be in action in the 50m breaststroke at 10:59 and Barry McClements At 11:59 S9 will attempt another medal in the 100m backstroke.

If those swimmers progress through their heats, the semifinals or finals of those events will take place from 19:00 that evening.

At the SEC Centre, Team NI will have two boxing contingents in action.

At 18:00, Nicole Clyde She will face Ghana’s Nancy Bamfour in the women’s bantamweight 54kg round of 16.

JP Hale The men’s welterweight 65kg round of 16 will take on England’s Patrice Mughalzai at 20:30.

Shauna O’Neill and Chloe Wilson The women’s pair are out in bowls against Guernsey from 11:20 as they look for another win and then face Zambia at 19:00.

Gary Wilson At 14:45 the men’s singles will go up against Mitchell Graham from Norfolk Island

Team NI’s Netball squad At 14:00 the Hydro will play their second pool game against Malawi as they aim for their first win.
