Over the years, China and Russia have described their relationship as a borderless friendship.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Beijing this week further underscores the strength of the relationship. He and Chinese President Xi Jinping hailed their partnership as a “calm force in the midst of chaos”.

They also warned of a return to the “law of the jungle” – which is evident in the actions and policies of US President Donald Trump, which include the war against Iran and international taxes.

Will the two leaders succeed in their push for a multi-ethnic world, in which the US does not dominate?
