Israeli forces are increasing in numbers in the West Bank as settlers increase in numbers and expand settlements.
The Israeli army has increased its operations in the occupied West Bank, destroying several Palestinian towns and villages. The government is also hastening to expand the illegal settlements.
At the same time, the Israelis are increasing their attacks on Palestine.
This rise is not unusual. But it comes three months before the election in Israel.
Polls suggest that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may lose power. Seizing land and accelerating the establishment of new illegal settlements is fine with its right-wing support base.
Is the latest violence in the West Bank serving Netanyahu’s political agenda?
