Wardley vs Dubois: Don Charles Daniel Dubois guarantees no party before facing Fabio Wardley

Dubois is looking to become a two-time world champion when he faces Britain’s Wardley at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on Saturday.

He joked that “they’re going to have a big party this time,” before saying that the previous meeting had no bearing on his performance against Ukraine’s Usyk.

“There was no reason I lost,” DuBois said.

“I went up against one of the greatest fighters of this generation and I’m happy to have the experience of sharing the ring with him twice.”

DuBois and Charles parted ways. They then broke off their 18-month relationship after losing at Wembley and reunited in 2025 as they bid to return to the sport’s top level.

“He was getting tight and training,” Charles said.

“He went on holiday for five weeks to get a bit of sun and went to Tony (Sims) before he got back to normal territory.

“There wasn’t a lot of talking, a lot of hugging. I love all my wrestlers and when he came in with his dad, we hugged and I said, ‘Welcome home.'”
