Walid Al-Faraj hits out at Newcastle over Yasla and demands compensation from Al-Ahly

Saudi journalist Waleed Al-Faraj has launched a scathing attack on Newcastle over their approach to signing current Al-Ahly coach German Matthias Zeiss.

Media reports have confirmed that Yasla has resigned as Al-Ahly coach today, Thursday.to lead Newcastle United next season, replacing his former manager Eddie Howe.

Al-Faraj made a post on his personal account on the “X” website, in which he wrote: “The departure of the coach of the Asian elite champion two weeks before the start of the league is shocking news.”

“My God, he wouldn’t have found anyone to pay him $11 million, except for a club like Newcastle, and maybe they would have signed him for $12 million, which means $23 million a year. Is this an investment method?

The Saudi journalist concluded his tweet by saying: “The least compliment to Al-Ahly is financial and moral compensation.”

Notably, Yaisla has been leading Al-Ahly since 2023 and has managed to win the elite AFC Champions League title for two consecutive seasons, as well as the Saudi Arabian Super Cup title with them after a 9-year absence.
