The spotlight turned to Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo shortly after the final whistle of this Tuesday night’s Riyadh derby between Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal.
Al-Nasr conceded a goal at the crucial time from Al-Hilal. The Roshen League title decider was postponed after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw. Exciting derby and dramatic scenario.
When he was substituted in the final minutes of the match, Ronaldo fired up the fans and asked them to encourage the team to come out victorious and win the title.
But Ronaldo suffered a severe shock after goalkeeper Pinto made a mistake and scored on Al-Nasr, so the decision was postponed.
Shortly after the final whistle, Ronaldo was left on the bench with a look of shock on his face as the Saudi League title was undecided tonight.
Ronaldo then came off the bench and continued to make hand gestures as if bemoaning his luck after he was set to win his first title with Al-Nasr.
The draw lifted Al-Nasr’s tally to 83 points to top the Saudi League, five ahead of Al-Hilal, who have played a game in hand.
Thus, the crowning of Al-Nasr and his Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo with the Saudi League title will be delayed as he must win the remaining game against Damak or Al-Hilal will slip up in one of the games against NEOM and Al-Fayha.
