In a spontaneous scene that has caught the eye of Spanish fans on social media, newspaper AS has published a hilarious video of Spain international and Barcelona star Lamine Yamal.
The video showed the fun atmosphere inside the Spanish national team delegation on their flight to their home base in the US in preparation for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Javi, Yamal’s teammate at Barcelona and the national team, tried to prank him and taunt him by videotaping him while he was sleeping on the plane, which he tried to do secretly while Yamal appeared to be taking a fleeting nap.
But Javi’s attempt failed because his affair was quickly discovered and Yamal spotted him, so Javi got confused and tried to hide the phone.
The young pair continue to attract attention in the Spanish national team, not only for their talent on the pitch, but also for the strong relationship that unites them off the line, which the Spanish media are keen to highlight in their daily coverage of the team’s atmosphere during the 2026 World Cup.
Spain begin their World Cup campaign against Cape Verde tomorrow, Monday, before facing Saudi Arabia and Uruguay on the 21st and 27th of this month respectively.
