Egypt star Emam Ashour managed to put the Pharaohs ahead against Belgium at the Lumen Stadium this Monday evening in the World Cup Group Seven tournaments in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
Egypt’s opener came in the 20th minute after an organized attack that culminated in Mohamed Salah’s perfect pass that was superbly collected by Imam Ashour before firing a powerful shot from outside the box past Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
In a related context, he noted: French “Stats Foot” network. He noted that this progress is a rare event in the history of the Egyptian national team’s participation in the World Cup, explaining: “Egypt advanced to a World Cup match for the second time in its history, following the match against Saudi Arabia on June 25, 2018.”
The Egyptian national team enters the tournament with high ambitions, their fourth participation in the history of the World Cup, after they managed to return to the world forum after an absence following the Russian 2018 edition.
The participation is an important opportunity for the Pharaohs to establish their position among the most prominent African and Arab teams, amid widespread hopes of a new historic achievement in the Egyptian football record, led by Mohamed Salah, who is considered the team’s most popular weapon in the current World Cup campaign.
