Ahmed Fathi, the legend of the Egyptian national team, predicted that Morocco will succeed in reaching the finals of the 2026 World Cup.

The Moroccan team achieved an unprecedented Arab and African achievement by finishing fourth at the 2022 World Cup.

Morocco have been in excellent form this season, finishing second in Group Three with 7 points after a draw with Brazil and wins over Scotland and Haiti.

The Atlas Lions also managed to defeat the Netherlands in the round of 32 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.

Ahmed Fathi said during the hosting of the program “Pharaohs of Kura” on the On Sport TV channel. “I expect Morocco to reach the World Cup final.”

He added: “Morocco’s team is very strong and has imposed its rhythm to a great extent in the matches played so far in the tournament.”

Although the host of the program, Ahmed Khairin, drew Fathy’s attention to the fact that the French national team is on the road to Morocco, the Pharaohs legend stuck to his prediction of the Lions to qualify for the finals of the tournament.

Morocco is set to face Canada in the World Cup final, while France will face their Paraguayan counterpart.

If Morocco qualify for the quarter-finals, they will face the Roosters as soon as they get past Paraguay.
