The Ivorian midfielder has stood out with Al-Raqi at outstanding levels for 3 years
TV reports have revealed that Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly have been forced to sacrifice their Ivorian midfielder Franck Kesse on a free transfer from the Saudi Roshen League Association.
Kessier’s contract with Al-Ahly expires at the end of the 2025-2026 season, allowing him to move on a free transfer to any team next summer.
Saudi journalist Abdul Rahman Al-Amer confirmed via the Durina Ghair program that Kessie will not continue with Al Ahly next season due to the budget allocated to the club by the Roshen League’s recruitment committee.
“The budget that reached the clubs from the recruitment program is half of last year’s budget, which means that a club that was getting 200 million will get only 100 next season.”
“Therefore, I am 100% sure that Al-Ahly will not renew Kese’s contract and will not spend any money from the budget allocated by the recruitment committee on the player, because the money is big and the player will not work for more than two seasons.”
“There is more administrative work now than the financial aspects that clubs used to have.”
Notably, Kessier joined Al-Ahly in the summer of 2023 from Barcelona to help them win 3 titles, notably the AFC Champions League for the Elite twice, in addition to the Saudi Arabian Super Cup.
