Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has renewed his support for Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal after he raised the Palestinian flag during the La Liga title coronation celebrations.
Sanchez criticized the right-wing opposition in his country, saying during a political speech on Friday: “I’m still waiting for the right, represented by the People’s Party, to be united and show their support for Amin Yamal.”

“From here, all our support for this athlete and the Palestinian people, as well as our complete rejection of Netanyahu’s violations of human rights and international law.”
These statements come as a continuation of Sanchez’s stance, which he expressed recently, saying: “Those who see flying a country’s flag as incitement to hatred have either lost their minds or are blinded by their shame.”
He continued. “Lamin expressed the solidarity that millions of Spaniards feel with Palestine. This is another reason to be proud of him.”
