Video: Messi fumes and apologizes after historic defeat to Inter Miami

Orlando City made a historic comeback at the Remontada after going three goals down to beat Inter Miami 4-3 on Saturday, leaving Argentina star Lionel Messi’s team without a win at their new stadium.

Messi scored one and then another to put Miami up 3-0 after 33 minutes of play, and Miami looked to be on their way to their first win at the New Stadium after failing to win in their first three games there.

Orlando turned the table sharply as Martin Ojeda scored a hat-trick before Tyrese Spicer added the winner in stoppage time to shock the home fans.

This is only the third time in American League history that a team has managed to turn a 3-0 deficit into a win, following Seattle Sounders against DC United in 2017 and Los Angeles Galaxy against Los Angeles FC the following year.

Messi scored his 86th goal for Miami in his 100th game, ending a rare two-match scoring drought for the Argentine striker.

Messi also had an assist against Tlasco Segovia after Frye had put Miami ahead in the 4th minute.

Cameras captured a very disappointed Messi after the final whistle as he walked off alone straight to the dressing room, leaving his team players on the pitch.

Messi also apologized for fulfilling the request of the children who worshiped him in the tunnel leading to the dressing room after the game.
