“Atletico” started a sarcastic campaign against the Catalan club
Atletico Madrid’s official media sparked controversy on social media today, Friday, by launching a campaign against Barcelona over the latter’s pursuit of the Rojiblancos’ most popular star, Argentine forward Julian Alvarez, in the upcoming summer’s Mercato.
Atleti’s accounts have released a short video mocking the Blaugrana’s attempts to sign Alvarez.
The video shows the lion viciously attacking a car bearing the Atletico Madrid flag before suddenly turning into a dog, commenting: (Barcelona is trying to sign a contract with one of your players).

The post had more than 5 million views an hour later and sparked widespread interaction from fans of both clubs.
Earlier today, Friday, the Madrid club posted a series of sarcastic posts in which they sarcastically claimed to have made formal offers to sign Barcelona trio Lamine Yamal, Rafinha and Pedri in exchange for concert tickets and a bag of pulp.
