The Colombian star witnessed Messi’s legendary night
Fans at Dallas Stadium were thrilled when Colombian star Shakira, 49, appeared on the giant screen during the Argentina-Austria match, with the international singer sitting in the plush stands to watch legend Lionel Messi break several World Cup records.
Shakira, who signed the official song for the 2026 World Cup, ‘Day Day’, appeared during the second half of the game at Dallas, Texas where she waved to the camera and blew a kiss to the fans, who greeted her with wild cheers, before reappearing at halftime.
The Colombian singer, who was accompanied by one of her children at the game, was lucky enough to witness the historic moment as she witnessed Messi’s 17th World Cup goal, making him the tournament’s all-time top scorer, before he added an 18th in stoppage time to seal the 2-0 victory, as she noted.
