The Ivorian player urges the Saudi Al-Ahly coach to make a quick decision
Ivorian Franck Kessier of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli won the AFC Champions League Elite Championship Player Award, which his team won at the expense of Japan’s Machida Zelvia.
Kessien received the award before the start of the postponed match against “Al Fateh” in the 28th round of the Saudi Arabian Roshen League Championship.
While the Ivorian could not finish the match due to injury, he left midway through the first half and was replaced by his teammate Mateus Goncalves.
Al-Ahly were crowned champions of the AFC Elite Champions League for the second time in a row with a narrow 1-0 victory over the Japanese side after extra time in the final at Al-Enmaa Stadium in Jeddah, giving Saudi clubs their eighth title.
Franck Kessier won the player of the tournament award after the Asian Football Confederation opened the voting to choose the best player in the AFC Champions League elite.
