The coach immediately accepted the apology
“Liverpool” legend Jamie Carragher publicly apologized to “Paris Saint-Germain” coach Luis Enrique after the French team’s match with “Bavaria” Munich.
Enrique led Paris Saint-Germain to the Champions League final After the elimination of “Bavaria” Munich for the second time in a row.
The Liverpool legend was on the CBS Sports Golazo commentary team, and after the game former Manchester City player Micah Richards asked chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi for permission to speak to Luis Enrique.
Mika said: “I’m not asking for much. Simply put, because Carragher won’t stop talking, Luis Enrique doesn’t want to talk to us. Can you please get him to meet us?’
Al-Khelaifi joked that he would do everything he could, and a little later Luis Enrique met Carragher and him on air.
“The best coach in the world is here,” said Al-Khelaifi.
Enrique welcomed the program members saying: “Oh my god, hello guys!”
Popular host Kate Scott responded. “We are very glad to have you here, for there was a time when we thought we had lost your friendship, and that troubled us, so we will let Caragher speak of it.”
Jamie Carragher apologized to Enrique, saying: “Lewis, I would like to apologize for my behavior in Dortmund in the 2024 semi-final… I was wearing a Dortmund scarf, but as we all know, sometimes after a few drinks we lose control. So I apologize. Congratulations on making it to the finals for two years, well done!
In turn, Enrique answered. “Thank you, thank you… No need to apologize.” This is how Luis responded to the former English player, who entered the famous yellow wall of Dortmund in 2024 and admitted that he drank a lot of beer.
In the period following the game, Jamie Carragher was wearing a Borussia Dortmund scarf, which Luis Enrique did not like at the time.
“You’re sober enough to do that, Jimmy.” Kate asked.
Jamie Carragher replied: “That might explain why I’m giving such a poor performance because I’ve had about eight pints of beer in the pub.”

Later former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel admitted. “Honestly, it upset everyone here. First we had Luis Enrique. He came in, said hello and left because Carragher was wearing a Dortmund scarf… We behaved very badly.”
Jamie Carragher himself admitted on the ‘It’s Called Football’ podcast, saying: “Luis Enrique doesn’t want to talk to us right now. Because I was in Dortmund last season when PSG lost to Borussia Dortmund and I was in the mixed zone wearing a Borussia Dortmund scarf and it wasn’t nice.
