Ecuador turned the tables on the machines
In a hilarious scene after the Germany-Ecuador match in the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage yesterday, Thursday, German midfielder Leon Goretzka mistakenly boarded the opponent’s bus before realizing the situation and speeding away.
Screenshots were shown online “Sky Sports – Germany”. Goretzka boarded the bus, thinking it belonged to the German national team, even though the Ecuadorian flag was clearly visible on it.

The Germany-Ecuador match ended with the victory of the Latin team (2-1), thus entering the next round of the World Championship, occupying the second place with 4 points.
The Machines, on the other hand, qualified at the top of the fifth group with 6 points, beating Curaçao (7-1) in the first round and then defeating (2-1) Ivory Coast, who also finished second with 6 points, while Curaçao finished last in the group with 1 point.
