Former Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola’s appearance at the second round of Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup between Morocco and Scotland at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts has fueled speculation about his next coaching destination.
Guardiola was spotted in the stands with his brother Pere, Girona’s chairman, in the stands like any ordinary fan, in a remarkable appearance that reopened the case for his coaching future after signing a golden contract with the Citizens.
Spanish newspaper Sport report that the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have expressed an interest in signing Guardiola after leaving Manchester City and have made very attractive offers, with Morocco also closely monitoring his situation.
