Ali Alwan wrote his name in golden letters in Jordanian football history after he scored the first goal for Al-Nashama in the World Cup final against Austria in the first round of the 2026 World Cup Group Ten tournaments.

Alwan managed to equalize for Jordan early in the second half, specifically in the 50th minute, after he raced down the left into the penalty area and curled the ball into the net, hitting the right post and curling into the net to seal a 1-1 draw.
