Dutch goalkeeping brilliance prevents Atlas Lions from progressing
Netherlands goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen saved his country from conceding two goals against Morocco with two stunning saves in the space of a minute during the World Cup Round of 32 match between the two teams at the Monterrey Stadium in Mexico.
In the 18th minute of the match, Ashraf Hakimi took a corner kick from the right, making a pass, and Nael El Aynari rose to it and made a powerful header, which was brilliantly blocked by the “Brighton” goalkeeper.
A few seconds later, the ball reached Ashraf Hakim on the edge of the Dutch penalty area, and he launched a rocket that the Dutch goalkeeper struggled to keep away from his goal.
The winner of this clash will play in the World Cup final against Canada, who defeated South Africa 1-0.
