Fiery disputes after the two-party summit
The match between Al-Shabaab and Al-Ittihad in the Roshan Saudi Professional League Round 28 ended amid thrilling events and intense clashes on and off the field, in a game that saw plenty of tension until the final whistle and an emotional side prevailed in the atmosphere of a match that ended in victory for Al-Shabaab.
Al-Ittihad’s balance is frozen on 55 points in fifth place in the Roshen League table, so its qualification for the Asian Elite Play-offs has been postponed to the final stage in light of a fierce competition with sixth-placed Al-Taawoon.
Al-Shabaab, on the other hand, took their tally to 35 in the tournament’s 13th-placed table with their fourth win under Algeria’s Noureddine Zikri.

The situation quickly escalated between the two technical staff before the players and officials intervened to contain the crisis. But a member of Al-Ittihad’s technical staff displayed unsportsmanlike behavior when he tried to attack Zakri, which led to temporary chaos on the pitch, requiring the intervention of the referee and organizing staff to calm the situation.
Reviewing the events and what transpired after the final whistle, it was decided to send off a member of the Al-Ittihad team’s technical staff, given the rising tension that ended the game in a disappointing fashion despite the high level of competition the match witnessed inside the green rectangle.
