Bono easily blocked Mbappé’s shot
Morocco’s brilliant goalkeeper Yassine Bounou ended France’s penalty shootout streak when he saved Kylian Mbappe’s shot in the 28th minute of the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals on Thursday night.
Mbappe converted the penalty after being fouled by Morocco full-back Nousair Mazraoui, but Bono easily saved the Real Madrid star’s effort.
As reported by the French “Stats Foot” network, the “Roosters” managed to realize their last penalties in various competitions, while Bono was able to stop Mbappé’s shot, ending this series.
