Spain’s celebrations for winning the 2026 World Cup saw a heated verbal altercation between Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi and La Roja midfielder Rodri after the final match, which the Spaniards won with an unanswered goal.
According to a video published by the DAZN network, Rodri went to Otamendi’s side after the final whistle to console him, but the Argentine defender angrily received him, blaming him for the statements made by the Spanish camp before the game.
