Video: Algeria’s hat-trick gives Al-Gharafa the Emir of Qatar trophy


Al-Gharafa were crowned champions of the Qatar Emir’s Cup for the second time in a row and the ninth in their history, after an emphatic 4-1 win over Al-Sad on Saturday night.

The final match witnessed the brilliance of Algerian star Yassin Brahimi and his success with a hat-trick to win the man of the match award.

In the 21st minute, Tunisian football player Ferjani Sassi opened the scoring for Al-Gharafa.

6 minutes later, Brahimi scored Al Gharafa’s second goal with a superb strike into Al Sadd’s net.

Brahimi returned to score his second personal goal in the 63rd minute.

Javier Dillerson reduced the deficit by scoring Al Sadd’s only goal in the 88th minute.

Yassin Brahimi completed Al Gharafa’s goal-fest by scoring a hat-trick in the 90th minute (90+1).
