Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais led the Green Octopus to a thrilling 1-1 draw against Uruguay in the first round of the 2026 World Cup, in a match that saw the Green Octopus’ remarkable brilliance throughout the 90 minutes.
The draw moved all teams to one point in Group E after Spain drew level with Cape Verde in their other game, level on points with only Uruguay and Saudi Arabia on goal difference, increasing the early battle for two places to qualify for the next round.
