The Australian coach headed “Al-Alami”, replacing the Portuguese Jorge Jesus
Al-Hilal and Saudi Arabia legend Muhammad Al-Dea’i has sarcastically commented on the appointment of Australian Ange Postecoglou as the new technical director of neighboring and arch-rivals Al-Nasr next season.
Yesterday, Friday, Al-Nasr club announced the appointment of Postecoglou as the team’s technical director.He replaces Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, whose contract is extended for two seasons until 2028.
Commenting on this issue, Al-Deyya said in the announcements of the “Dorena Gear” program of the “Saudi Arabia” channel. “Postikoglu is a coach with a name and history, and the Australian school has become progressive at the moment.”
“We saw that the Spanish and Italian coaches didn’t offer anything, but Jesus was Portuguese and now the school has changed and it takes time because you move from one school to another. May God grant victory.”
He explained. “Last season (Simone) Inzaghi took over as coach of Al Hilal and he changed the whole method and it didn’t work for him because the diversity of the schools causes problems.”
“When a team relies on a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 system and then a new manager comes in and relies on 3 players in the heart of the defence, it’s not possible.”
Notably, Jesus announced his departure from Al-Nasr at the end of last season after leading the team to the Saudi League title after a seven-year absence.
