The “Pharaohs” won the first World Cup in their history
The former star of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Abutrika, praised Hossam Hassan, the coach of the “Pharaohs”, after the victory over New Zealand (3-1) in the second round of the World Cup group stage today, Monday.
This victory is the first in the history of the Pharaohs in the world championshipsThey lead the seventh group with 4 points, very close to qualify for the second round of the World Cup.
“Hossam Hassan is one of us and I dealt with him when he captained the Egyptian national team in the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations, which we won in Cairo,” he told beIN Sports after the game.
He continued. “I love Hossam Hasan on a personal level. This generation is being trained by icons and I love the success of icons. I’ve dealt with everyone on this technical staff who has a role to play, and Hossam is unselfish and gives everyone a role with him.”
“Hossam is enjoying the World Cup atmosphere after taking the pressure off the last African Cup of Nations and he is now achieving his World Cup dream. He has elements of attacking football and he likes to attack in general because he was a player.”
“Unfortunately, many have summed up what Hossam Hasan has to offer and today he proved that he relies on tactics and knows how to get the team back on track in the second half.”
During the analysis of the match, Abutrika made an exciting promise as he confirmed that he will shave his hair “zero” if Egypt reach the World Cup final.
