Egyptian football legend Mohamed Abutrika praised the historic achievement of the “Pharaohs” after qualifying for the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup after beating Australia on penalties (4-2) and drawing in extra time (1-1).
Abu Trika said through the beIN Sports studio: “Thanks to captain Hossam and the players… the men,” praising Mohamed Salah’s performance.
He added: “Egypt honored the Arabs and Africa… the great is great and did justice to all the people who bet on the pharaohs,” before he posted his famous catchphrase: “Bring us Messi.”
The Egyptian magician concluded. “Egypt will face Messi in the Round of 16 to make it a game for history,” referring to the upcoming clash against Argentina.
It is noteworthy that Egypt qualified for the finals of the World Cup for the first time in its history, and will face the winner of the match between Argentina and Cape Verde.
