Vaibhav Suryavanshi: Teen, 15, wins car for IPL season achievements

Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has won a car for his performance in the Indian Premier League – but the 15-year-old will have to wait three years to drive the car.

The left-handed Soryavanshi has excelled in the IPL this season, scoring 776 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 237.30.

Although his team, Rajasthan Royals, did not reach the finals, he was named the most valuable player for the 2026 campaign.

The teenager took home the player’s award and the Orange Cup for the top runner.

Among the prizes was the Tata Sierra – a popular mid-size SUV in India – but he couldn’t get behind the wheel as the minimum driving age in the country is 18.

Suryavanshi’s personal prize money totaled more than £30,000.
