Tickets for the cohosts’ opening game in Los Angeles are available at prices ranging from $1,120 to $6,050.

With less than 40 days to go until the World Cup, organizers continue to struggle with ticket sales as seats remain available for many of the club’s matches, albeit at exorbitant prices.

Home fans can get tickets for the United States’ (USA) tournament opener against Paraguay, with prices starting at $1,120 and going up to $4,105, with most tickets costing around $2,000 for the June 12 game in Los Angeles. Hospitality class seats go up to $6,050 per seat.

Tickets are still available on the official FIFA website through the “last sold” section.

Football fans are already there angry and game prices are sky-high — the cheapest final ticket costs about $11,000 — since the first round of ticket sales in December. According to FIFA’s website, 17 games for all teams have been sold out, including the tournament opener between Mexico and South Africa in Mexico City on June 11.

Seven games held in Mexico have been sold out, including two more cohosts matches against South Korea in Guadalajara and the Czech Republic in Mexico City.

Turkey vs USA in Los Angeles, Brazil vs Morocco in New York/New Jersey and Scotland vs Brazil in Miami are some of the sold out matches.
