US Women’s Open: Jennifer Kupcho leads by one shot after first round


Jennifer Kupcho made a strong start to golf’s second women’s major of the year as she took a one-shot lead at the US Women’s Open after the first round on Thursday.

The 29-year-old American fired a five-under 66 at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles to take the lead from South Korea’s Kim Se-young.
