Rory McIlroy tees off at 13:40 BST on Thursday as the 108th US PGA Championship gets under way.
The Northern Irishman, who defended his Masters title last month, will start on the 10th tee at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania in a group with Spain’s Jon Rahm and American Jordan Spieth.
McIlroy, 37, previously won the PGA in 2012 when he won by a record eight-stroke margin at Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
No player has won the Masters and the PGA in the same year since Jack Nicholls in 1975.
World number one Scotty Scheffler begins his bid to defend the title he won in 19:05 a year ago, along with Englishmen Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Rose.
Fitzpatrick’s younger brother Alex, who secured his Tour card with a win with brother Matt at the Zurich Classic last month, tees off in the tournament’s first group at 11:45 along with Americans Braden Shattuck and Ben Griffin.
Tommy Fleetwood went out at 18:45 with Scotland’s Robert McIntyre and USA’s Chris Gutterup.
Two-time major winner Bryson DeChambeau is in 13:18 with fellow American Rickie Fowler and Sweden’s Ludwig Aberg.
