For many parts of England and Wales, temperatures will be in the mid to high-20s over the weekend.
In the South Midlands and Southeast England, it could hit 30C on Sunday, which will be relatively rare for May.
Confidence is rising that the maximum temperature will reach 33C on Bank Holiday Monday.
This is 32.8C higher than the highest May temperature recorded in 1944.
This happened on the end of May bank holiday.
We’re also expecting many parts of England to enter an official heatwave, with temperatures ranging from 26-28C – depending on the location – for three days in a row.
Although it won’t be warm in Scotland and Northern Ireland, it will still feel hot over the coming days, with no heat expected.
Cloudier skies are likely with temperatures in the upper 20s at best.
Elsewhere, there will be plenty of sunshine – although there could be a chance of heavy rain or thunderstorms in south-east England on Saturday afternoon.
