Ugreen has announced a new tracker for Apple Find My-compatible with a design that limits where you can hide, but greatly benefits battery life. Inspired by the “big football games” the company doesn’t name, the Ugreen FineTrack 2 is shaped like a soccer ball and is designed to be used to hang your keys or purses. It’s bigger than the Apple AirTag or the big credit card trackers, yet small enough to be buried in a suitcase or stuck in the glove compartment of your car.
The waterproof FineTrack 2 is now it’s $19.99 and it comes with a 600mAh CR2450 battery good for five to seven years of use with Apple’s Find My network. Ugreen fans usually come with good battery life. It changed its thickness to 1.7mm credit card tracker powered by Google’s Find Hub network with five years of battery life last September, but when it dies, it becomes e-waste. It’s the same story with the FineTrack 2. It’s not rechargeable and its battery is non-replaceable. The AirTag battery may only last a year, but you can replace it with a new one as often as you like.
Along with FineTrack 2 Ugreen also announced its new FineTrack Mini 2. Its functions and battery life are similar to the shape of the ball, including five to seven years (unchanged) battery life, waterproofing, and a loud alarm of 110dB. But it has a small, light, and traditional design that is smart and easy to hide. I am only sold in four-packs for $45.99.
